The contactor box contains the primary high voltage contactor to feed power to the motor when the key is turned. A second contactor is used to power the DCDC converter (essentially a replacement of the alternator in a petrol car). Terminals for the negative cables and charger are also safely housed in this insulated box, under the rear seat.
