Today I finally managed to remove the gearbox. Oil seals need replacing and I refuse to have an electric car dripping oil on the driveway!

Most of the effort getting the gearbox out was in removing the stripped CV joint bolts. Someone must have used the wrong tool back in the days and they were a real pain to get them out. I was treated to a nice slurry of decades old grease running down my arm as I finally got one of the axles free.

After a good clean, I gave it a few layers of engine enamel to make it look new again.

Re-packing the CV joints was a messy job, but they all looked fine and just needed some new boots and fresh grease.
